Les Mis
Movie is still going to kill me.
I’m not upset about the spoken lyrics - not at all. Movies are meant to be intimate and make the audience connect in a way theatre does not, unless you’re a fan of the art form. If you had them singing everything and belting it the way they do on stage, it would be WAY too much. The way they’ve chosen to do this has added so much to it, and it’s everything I’d hoped it would be and MORE.
Except for Russell Crowe’s singing. It’s like Gerard Butler all over again. Pretty, but … just no.
…. this movie is going to DESTROY me.
Les Mis trailer …. I can’t even. I’ve been obsessed with this musical since I was a child of eight and have always wanted them to do a film version. Twenty one years later, and I’m finally getting my wish.
I’m also trying to ignore Russell Crowe’s singing. I know it’s just a clip, but I’m pretty much convinced it’s going to be like Gerard Butler in Phantom … pretty to look at, until he opens his mouth.
Sure, he looks amazing in costume, but if he turns out to be another Gerard Butler in the vocal department I may cry tears of blood.
WHAAAAT
Come on internet, don’t fail me now … there has to be another upload of the Les Mis trailer out there SOMEWHERE?
